About Calculator

The Working Days & Hours Calculator shows exactly how many business days and working hours fall in any given month or year. It counts Monday through Friday and provides the 8-hour-per-day equivalent.

This tool is especially useful for payroll departments, freelancers estimating monthly billable hours, and project managers allocating sprint capacity. The count excludes weekends but does not subtract country-specific public holidays.

ISO week numbering (ISO 8601) is also displayed, so you can cross-reference the current week with international reporting standards used in finance and logistics.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are public holidays excluded?

No. The calculator only excludes Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays vary by country and are not deducted automatically.

How are working hours calculated?

Working hours are simply the number of working days multiplied by 8 (standard full-time work hours per day).

What is ISO week numbering?

ISO 8601 defines week 1 as the week containing the first Thursday of the year. Weeks always start on Monday and are numbered 1–52 (or 53 in some years).
